Disney Ladies / Damas de Disney

Almost said human Disney ladies through time, as the point was to list the non-animal ones, but, in theory, Tinkerbell and the Blue-fairy are fairies, Ariel is a mermaid and Captain Amelia is a cat-like alien, so I had to omit the human part.

Still you know what I mean, right? I leave you with the Disney Ladies through time!

Casi digo Damas de Disney humanas a través del tiempo, ya que el punto era enlistar las no-animales, pero, en teoría, Campanita y el Hada Azul son hadas, Ariel es una sirena y la Capitana Amelia es una extraterrestre que parece gato, así que tuve que omitir la parte humana de la descripción.

Helena Bonham Carter as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother / Helena Bonham Carter como la Hada Madrina de Cenicienta

Disney had announced a A-Star cast for their upcoming live-action version of Cinderella, with Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother, Lily James in the title role and Richard Madden as Prince Charming. They have now officially added the multi-facetic and amazing actress Helena Bonham Carter to the mix. If you don’t know who she is, then you simply are not from this planet, just check out the Harry Potter movies (3rd and up) or ANY Tim Burton’s (her husband) film.

Disney ha anunciado un elenco de estrellas para le próxima versión live-action de Cenicienta, con Cate Blanchett como la madrastra, Lily James en el rol protagonista y Richard Madden como el Príncipe Encantador. Ahora han oficialmente agregado a la mezcla a la multifacética e increíble actriz Helena Bonham Carter. Si no saben quién es ella, simplemente no son de este planeta, sólo chequeen la películas de Harry Potter (de la tercera para arriba) o CUALQUIERA de las películas de Tim Burton (su esposo).

The character is so sweet, bubbly, adorable and old, characteristics that don’t come to mind when I think of Helena. Still, she surprises every time, being as chameleonic as she is and might give the character a new dimension (it not being as developed in the first place).

The film will be directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh and is set to hit the theatres in 2014.

El personaje es dulce, feliz, adorable y mayor, características que no vienen a la mente cuando uno piensa en Helena. Aún así, ella sorprende cada vez que aparece en la pantalla, siendo tan camaleónica como es y puede que le dé al personaje una nueva dimensión (ya que nunca fue muy desarrollado en primer lugar).

El filme será dirigido por Sir Kenneth Branagh y llegará al cine en el 2014.

New Cinderella /Nueva Cenicienta

It was confirmed that Disney was working in a live-action film of the classic Cinderella. In addtion it was confirmed Cate Blanchett would play Lady Tremaine (evil stepmother), whereas the title role was still up for grabs, one at the top of the list was Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables).

Estaba confirmado que Disney estaba trabajando en una versión live de el clásico Cenicienta. Del mismo modo, estaba confirmado que Cate Blanchett interpretaría a Lady Tremaine (la madrastra), mientras que el rol titular estaba aún por definirse, y uno de los primeros nombres  de la lista era Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables).

On April 30th it was officially announced that Downton Abbey’s star Lily James will be the one to play the iconic princess. She’s going from brunette aristocrat to blonde orphan for the film, and recently this week was spotted with golden locks. The film will be directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh (Thor) and the prince will be played by Game of Thrones’ stud, Richard Madden.

Se transforma de una aristocrática castaña a una huérfana rubia para la película, y ya, recientemente, esta semana, fue vista luciendo rulos rubios. Today, 26 years ago, the talented Milt Kahl, one of the legendary Nine Old Men, left this world, leaving behind a legacy of beloved characters that will stay a part of our lives forever, such as Pinocchio, Bambi, Cinderella, Prince Phillip (Sleeping Beauty), Shere Kahn (The Jungle Book), Robin Hood and Medusa (The Rescuers).

Milt is a role-model and inspiration for animators today, and,even though not the most  charismatic and patient man, he will be remembered for his art and passion.
